Cabinet Committee Clears Indcution of Akash SAM

The Cabinet Committee on Security has cleared the induction of the indigenous Akash surface to air missiles for the Army, giving its air defence corps much needed teeth to counter enemy aircraft and missiles. The indigenous system, which has already been inducted by the Air Force, will be used by the Army to protect key assets.
